About This Reference Document

This guide is a resource for those impacted by endometriosis. It has been created out of an interest in the intersections between patient experiences, research, and provider care. There are glaring gaps in knowledge about endometriosis, from its cause to a cure, due to a lack of research and the complexity of the disease. However, with increased awareness and funding, compelling new research is happening right now.

For patients, this resource includes a symptom guide, facts about the disease, and an overview of current and upcoming research that may support them in their future diagnostic and treatment experiences.

For providers, it features highlights from recent studies to stay up to date on developments, with links to the full papers for further consideration.

A very exciting part will be when the influx of new research begins to inform clinical practice, and evidence-based treatments will emerge based on the studies tracked here. This resource will exist in that intersection and allow transparency and connection between all those involved in and impacted by endometriosis.
